well done everyone for our smashin' result at Harrogate especially to the other members of the trombone section(since we had trouble finding trombonists at the start) and to Hutch. cya all at the next rehersal.

Well done everyone on what was the icing on the cake of a great year.
But a special thanks to all who organised this trip(you know who you are)

We were last at the Nationals in 1998 - when Renfrew came 1st and we came 2nd at the 3rd section chapionships.. wierd huh! ten years to the day!

We were third at the nationals that year - we're hoping to keep the dejavu going and do as well this time round!!

I came across this cos Im having to give a short talk tomorrow at Uni (yes the old fart finally made it to Uni full time studying Science!). I chose to talk on brass bands and bore the pants off the kids hehe
Was looking for a pic of a band to put up and came across this website. Very nice indeed. made me all nostalgic.

Very impressive looking website. Better than anything we managed to come up with when I was there anyway... : ) Nice to see that there are optimistic noises about the band's upward movement through the sections and that things are looking up. Hope it continues. Next time I'm home of a Thursday night I'll need to pop by and see if the old bass still works...
