Renfrew Burgh Band marked its 115th anniversary in true RBB style this weekend, with a day full of music, learning, laughter and celebration.
We were honoured to welcome two very special guests: Mark Wilkinson and Adams Brass Artist Gary Curtin from the world‑famous Foden’s Band. Their incredible playing, insight, honest advice and good humour made the day unforgettable. Thank you, gents — you were brilliant from start to finish.
The band enjoyed a busy schedule of rehearsals and workshops, fuelled by a special anniversary cake and plenty of tasty treats. The celebrations culminated in an evening concert in Renfrew Town Hall, where we performed to a packed and enthusiastic audience.
One of the highlights of the night was our incredible anniversary raffle, which was met with huge excitement and helped raise valuable funds for the band. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the supporters, local businesses and friends who generously contributed prizes — your kindness and community spirit made the raffle a real success and added an extra sparkle to the occasion.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us — friends old and new. Sharing this milestone with our band family made the day truly special.
Here’s to the next 115 years of music, friendship and community at Renfrew Burgh Band.
