Scottish Championships Preparation in Full Swing! 🎶

Here at Renfrew Burgh Band, our preparations for the Scottish Championships are well underway! This weekend, we headed to the stunning surroundings of Arrochar for an intensive rehearsal retreat, working on our set piece—Arkansas by Jacob de Haan.

We were thrilled to be joined by guest tutors Lynda Nicholson, Alison Bonnar, and Kenny Carlyle, who brought boundless enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and outstanding musicality. From sectionals and one-on-one coaching to full band rehearsals, every session has been incredibly valuable. Our Solo Euphonium player, Allan, was especially grateful for the time she spent with him.

A huge thank you to our tutors for their inspiration and expertise, and to our band members for their dedication. We’re feeling motivated and ready to take on the challenge ahead!
