Fourth at the Scottish Championships! đŸŽș

We're celebrating a fantastic result at this year’s Scottish Championships, securing fourth place in our first outing since earning promotion to the Second Section.

This year’s test piece, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Philip Harper, was a brilliant challenge for the band. Full of colour, character, and vivid storytelling, it pushed us musically and gave us plenty to get our teeth into during the run‑up to the contest. Bringing such a descriptive score to life — from shimmering underwater scenes to the drama of the deep — was a hugely enjoyable experience for everyone involved. 🐟🩑

We’d like to extend a sincere thank‑you to everyone who supported our preparations, both on and off the stand. Your help, encouragement, and hard work made a real difference.

Congratulations as well to Johnstone Band, Campbeltown Brass, and Annan Town Band on their excellent results. It was a fantastic day for all involved, and we’re proud to have shared the stage with such strong performances.

Here’s to building on this result as we continue our journey in the Second Section. Onwards and upwards for Renfrew Burgh Band!
