Band of the Year Presentation🏆

Renfrew Burgh Band was delighted to welcome Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron, our honorary president, and Tom Allan of the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) executive committee for a special presentation of our Band of the Year Award for 2025.

The official announcement was made at the SBBA AGM earlier in the year — but in true banding fashion, we were all exactly where you’d expect us to be at the time: at rehearsal, hard at work preparing for the Scottish Championships.

Receiving the award in person was a lovely moment for the band and a fitting way to round off what has been a very successful contesting year. It also gave us the chance to thank both the Provost and SBBA for their continued support of brass banding across Renfrewshire and Scotland.
