Renfrew Burgh Band was delighted to welcome Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron, our honorary president, and Tom Allan of the Scottish Brass Band Association (SBBA) executive committee for a special presentation of our Band of the Year Award for 2025. We're celebrating a fantastic result at this year’s Scottish Championships, securing fourth place in our first outing since earning promotion to the Second Section. We’ve enjoyed a wonderful weekend together! It was great to return to Arrochar for a residential rehearsal weekend, as we continue our preparations for the Scottish Championships. In between the rehearsing, there was time to sit back, relax and catch up - as well as taking to the stage to showcase our ‘party pieces’! Thank you to our guest tutors, Alan Friel, Alison Bonnar and Kenny Carlyle for their invaluable input and good humour.
