A few moments we’re especially proud of:
Shona Jones – Best Instrumentalist at the Scottish Championships
Ash Paton – Best Solo Cornet and Best Instrumentalist at the Borders Entertainment Contest
Myra Mack – Winner of the Provost’s Community Award for Arts & Culture
Lesley MacSween – Awarded her SBBA Life Membership Medal
2025 has also been a year of heartfelt farewells. We say goodbye to Myra Mack, who is retiring after years of dedication (as a player and LT member), and to Ash Paton, who is moving onwards and upwards in the banding world. Both leave VERY big boots to fill, and we’re so grateful for everything they’ve brought to RBB.
And as we look ahead… why not join us?
Our PRINCIPAL CORNET seat is now available, and we also have vacancies for EB BASS, BB BASS and for a KIT PLAYER/PERCUSSIONIST. New year, new band? Get in touch
Thank you to EVERY player, supporter, friend, and follower who’s been part of our journey this year. Here’s to more music, more memories, and an exciting year ahead.
Happy New Year from all of us at Renfrew Burgh Band!
